Booking

To secure a place on any tour, you must provide your full name, contact details, and payment information. By booking a tour, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Payment
  • A non-refundable deposit of AUD $1000 is required at the time of booking.
  • The balance must be paid 60 days prior to departure. Failure to pay the balance may result in the cancellation of your booking.
  • Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, credit card, or PayPal.
Cancellation and Refunds
  • Non-Refundable Amount (Booking Deposit): AUD $1000
  • Cancellations made:
    • 60 days or more before the tour start date: Full refund (minus deposit).
    • 45 to 59 days before the tour start date: 50-75% refund of the total cost (minus deposit).
    • 30 to 44 days before the tour start date: 25-50% refund of the total cost (minus deposit).
    • Less than 30 days before the tour start date: No refund.All cancellations must be received in writing.
  • If the minimum number of participants is not met, the tour may be cancelled, and a full refund of all payments (excluding flight costs) will be provided.

No Show or Early Termination:
  • If a participant fails to show up for the tour or leaves the tour early, no refund is given.
  • Additional charges apply for repatriation of vehicles or other services if a participant leaves the tour mid-way.
Tour Changes

We reserve the right to make necessary changes to the itinerary due to factors beyond our control, such as weather, road closures, or local conditions. We will inform participants of changes as early as possible. No refunds will be provided for itinerary adjustments.

Travel Insurance
  • It is mandatory to have travel insurance with an Adventure Pack covering motorcycle activities. The policy must cover motorcycles over 250cc.
  • Travel insurance should include medical emergencies, medical repatriation, trip cancellations, and adventure activities.
  • A copy of your travel insurance must be submitted to Beyond Borders Moto Tours upon final payment.
Liability

Shine Concepts Pty Ltd T/A Beyond Borders Moto Tours, and its representatives will not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the tour. This includes:

  • Loss or damage to personal property.
  • Missed flights or travel delays due to changes in the tour schedule. Participants travel at their own risk and are responsible for their health, safety, and personal belongings.
Health and Safety
  • You are responsible for ensuring your physical fitness for the tour. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, please consult your doctor before booking and inform us in writing.
  • You must comply with all local safety regulations, road rules, and guidelines from the tour leader.
  • Ensure to carry any required medications and keep us informed of any health concerns prior to the tour.
Motorcycles and Equipment
  • Participants are responsible for any damage to motorcycles beyond normal wear and tear. The cost of damages will be deducted from the security deposit or billed directly.
  • We recommend participants bring their own riding gear (helmet, jackets, gloves, boots). Beyond Borders Moto Tours does not rent motorcycle gear.
  • In the event of mechanical failure, we will provide assistance, but repair times may vary based on location.
Accommodation and Meals
  • Accommodation will vary depending on the region, ranging from guesthouses, hotels, to camps.
  • Meals provided during the tour are designed to give you a local experience. Special dietary requirements should be communicated in advance.
  • Participants should expect basic facilities in some remote areas, particularly on high-altitude rides in India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Travel Documents

Participants must carry the following documents:

  • Passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validity.
  • International Motorcycle License and valid license from your home country.
  • Visa for the respective destination (India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Tibet, or Nepal).
  • Travel insurance policy.
  • Currency (local or AUD for exchange) for personal spending.
Force Majeure

In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, or other unforeseen events, we may be required to change the tour route or schedule. These changes are for the safety and well-being of the group, and no refunds will be provided for such adjustments. Additional costs may be incurred and shared among participants.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or from the use of our services will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with Australian Fair Trading rules.

Things to Carry
  • Riding gear (helmets, jackets, gloves, boots, etc.).
  • Essential documents such as passport, licenses, and insurance.
  • Cash for incidental expenses (lunch, shopping, etc.).
  • Clothing appropriate for the climate, especially for high-altitude regions like Leh and Bhutan.
  • Power adapters and charging equipment.
Destination-Specific Information
  • India (Ladakh and Zanskar): Prepare in advance to avoid altitude sickness in Leh; keep hydrated and rest upon arrival. All weather gear is essential.
  • Sri Lanka: Lightweight, tropical wear is necessary; waterproof gear for monsoon seasons.
  • Bhutan and Tibet: Warm clothing and strong outdoor shoes are necessary. Expect high altitudes and limited facilities.
  • Nepal: Be prepared for cold conditions, especially near the Himalayas.
Pre-Tour Instructions
  • Communicate flight details to us at least 30 days before the tour for airport transfers.
  • Pack lightly, keeping in mind that luggage space might be limited to 15 kg per person depending on the Airline you book.
  • Be prepared for unforeseen events such as weather changes or road closures. These are adventure tours that require flexibility and adaptability.
Code of Conduct
  • Participants must behave respectfully towards fellow riders and staff. Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the tour without refund.
  • Safe and responsible riding is a priority. Any reckless driving that endangers others or delays the tour will lead to dismissal from the tour without refund.
  • Follow all instructions from the tour leader. The Road Captain's decision is final in all matters concerning the tour.
