Prem Patel is an adventurous motorcyclist whose journey began at 19 on the streets of India and evolved across Australia’s iconic roads. Migrating to Australia 20 years ago, he transformed his love for riding into a lifelong purpose fueled by freedom and exploration.
Recognising the need for specialised motorcycle care, Prem launched Sydney’s first dedicated motorcycle detailing service in 2018. This venture quickly became a trusted name among riders and laid the foundation for deeper connections within the biking community.
Through shared stories and conversations with fellow riders, a common dream emerged—epic motorcycle journeys beyond borders. This vision gave rise to Beyond Borders Moto Tours, created to deliver meaningful, immersive riding experiences across breathtaking destinations.
Today, Beyond Borders Moto Tours brings riders together through carefully crafted routes, strong support systems, and a shared passion for adventure. More than tours, it’s a growing family of riders united by the thrill, freedom, and bond of the open road.
Joc – Road Captain
With over 50 years in the saddle, he is semi-retired from work and fully committed to adventure. Riding has been a lifelong constant, and for the past 26 years he’s shared that passion with his wife as pillion, travelling together on motorcycles across the world.
He has been riding in the Himalayas since last century and has witnessed the region evolve firsthand—from roads and infrastructure to the remarkable transformation of Royal Enfield motorcycles. So impressed by how far they’ve come, he now proudly rides a Himalayan 450 himself.
Growing up on a farm and later working in outdoor retail shaped his deep love for the outdoors, along with the confidence, patience, and experience to support others on their own journeys. He regularly organises and guides rides throughout northern NSW and beyond, bringing calm leadership and practical wisdom to every ride.
For him, any ride can be an adventure. A once-in-a-lifetime journey through northern India is an adventure to be truly savoured—but it begins with commitment. From there, he and the team are there to guide, support, and turn it into a memorable journey.
Jason – Road Captain
With over 40 years of motorcycling experience, he brings a lifetime passion for two wheels and a depth of knowledge that only comes from decades on the road. His riding spans road, gravel, and adventure terrain, giving him the versatility and confidence to guide riders through a wide range of conditions.
Alongside motorcycling, he has spent over 40 years involved in cycling at a competitive club level. This background has shaped his strong understanding of pacing, group dynamics, and rider behaviour—skills that translate seamlessly into managing groups safely and effectively on tour.
He also brings hands-on experience as a tour guide through his work with BikeNow, where he has led cycling tours and supported riders of varying abilities. This has further developed his strengths in group management, rider safety, route planning, and delivering a smooth, well-organised experience for every rider.
With a solid foundation in rider education, he has been involved in bike training programs focused on safe riding techniques and awareness. He has also completed advanced HART (Honda Australia Rider Training), deepening his expertise in riding dynamics, hazard perception, and on-road safety.
Known for his calm, practical approach, he prioritises clear communication and creates a supportive environment where riders feel confident and well looked after. He understands the importance of preparation, reading conditions, and adapting to the needs of each group.
With decades of experience and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, he is dedicated to delivering motorcycle adventures that are not only exciting, but also safe, seamless, and genuinely memorable.
Bee – Road Captain
Bee learned to ride abefore she could reach the pegs, growing up on a farm where motorcycles were part of everyday life. That early start shaped her confidence and ability to handle mixed terrain and unpredictable conditions with ease.
She has ridden internationally, including through the remote high valleys of northern Pakistan — dramatic landscapes, warm people, and roads few riders ever experience. For Bee, travel is a privilege that opens doors to culture, food, and meaningful human connections, not just destinations.
Calm, capable, and adventure-driven, Bee thrives on exploring new landscapes and cultures while making riders feel supported and confident on the road. When she’s not travelling, she works as a UX designer in Sydney and commutes daily on her BMW G650GS.
Becky – Head of Ground Operations
Born and raised in the majestic landscapes of Ladakh, Tsering “Becky” Norboo has adventure woven into his DNA. From the high mountain passes of the Himalayas to the winding desert roads of Rajasthan, Becky brings unparalleled local knowledge and a passion for riding to every tour.
As Operations Head in India, Becky ensures that every Beyond Borders Moto Tours journey runs smoothly, safely, and memorably. He coordinates routes, manages logistics, oversees support staff, and ensures that every rider experiences the perfect balance of adventure and comfort. With years of experience navigating some of the most challenging terrains in India, he has a knack for turning even the most complex rides into seamless adventures.
Becky’s love for motorcycles goes beyond work—it’s a way of life. Whether it’s scouting new routes in the Himalayas, perfecting the timing of a mountain sunrise ride, or sharing local stories around a campfire, he brings authentic Himalayan spirit to every tour.
