Itinerary by Day
Day 1 : Arrival in Leh (Altitude: 3,500m) | Riding Distance: 0 km
Welcome to the breathtaking town of Leh, the gateway to Ladakh! Today is all about settling in and acclimatising to the altitude. Plenty of water and rest is the key to acclimatising.Take it easy today—this is just the calm before the thrilling adventure ahead!
Day 2 : Leh – Alchi – Likir – Tingmosgang (Altitude: 3,050m – 3,400m) | Riding Distance: 100 km
The journey begins! Ride alongside the mighty Indus River, surrounded by awe-inspiring valleys and ancient monasteries. Stop at the historic Alchi Monastery to admire thousand-year-old Buddhist murals, then visit Likir Monastery, home to a stunning golden Buddha statue. The day concludes in the peaceful village of Tingmosgang, known for its fragrant apricot orchards and serene ambiance.

Paved roads with scenic river views and smooth mountain passes.
Day 3 : Uley to Aryan Valley (Altitude: 3,100m) | Riding Distance: 100 km
Today, we venture into the mysterious Aryan Valley, a hidden gem that few travellers get to experience. Home to the Brokpa tribe, this valley boasts unique cultural traditions believed to have origins in Alexander the Great’s army. Lush greenery, vibrant wildflowers, and breathtaking mountain vistas set the stage for a day full of adventure and discovery.

Mostly smooth roads with occasional twists through lush valleys.
Day 4 : Aryan Valley to Stok (Altitude: 3,500m) | Riding Distance: 170 km
Bid farewell to the verdant Aryan Valley and set out towards Stok. The ride offers dramatic Himalayan landscapes at every turn. As we reach Stok, the magnificent Stok Palace awaits, offering panoramic views of the towering Stok Kangri peak—a sight that will stay with you forever.

Smooth but challenging mountain roads with occasional rough patches.
Day 5 : Stok to Turtuk via Khardung La Pass (Altitude: 5,359 m) | Riding Distance: 240 km
Today is one of the highlights of the journey! Depart Stok and ascend Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world at 5,359 m. Feel the adrenaline as you ride through this iconic Himalayan pass, surrounded by stark, breathtaking landscapes. After conquering Khardung La, descend into the Nubra Valley and continue to the picturesque village of Turtuk. Along the way, enjoy the high-altitude desert scenery, rolling sand dunes, and glimpses of the Karakoram mountains. Arrive in Turtuk in the evening and immerse yourself in the unique Balti culture.

High-altitude mountain passes with mixed terrain; paved in sections with some gravel and rough patches.
Day 6: Turtuk to Hunder (Altitude: 3,000m) | Riding Distance: 90 km
Spend the morning exploring the hidden gems of Turtuk Village. After lunch, ride to Hunder, descending into the iconic Nubra Valley. Experience high-altitude desert landscapes with rolling sand dunes and Bactrian camels - a scene that feels like another world.

Scenic mountain roads with moderate difficulty.
Day 7: Hunder – Pangong Lake (Altitude: 4,350m) | Riding Distance: 170 km
Ride through the Nubra Valley to reach Sumur, known for its tranquility and scenic beauty. Spend the day exploring ancient monasteries, enjoying the peaceful ambiance, and soaking in the valley’s natural charm.

Smooth roads and easy terrain—ideal for a relaxed ride.
Day 8: Pangong - Hanle (Altitude: 4,500m) | Riding Distance: 250 km
From Pangong, ride through surreal high-altitude landscapes en route to Hanle. This remote village near the Indo-Tibetan border offers spectacular views and some of the clearest skies in the world—a perfect place to experience the Himalayas in solitude.
Road Conditions:
Mixed terrain with some off-road sections; prepare for a long ride.
Day 9: Hanle – Umling La – Hanle (Altitude: 5,882m at Umling La, 4,500m at Hanle) | Riding Distance: 250 km
Today is the pinnacle of the adventure. Depart early from Hanle and conquer Umling La, the highest motorable pass in the world. Standing at the summit is both a physical and mental achievement, with breathtaking views waiting at the top. After the descent, return to Hanle for the night.
Road Conditions:
High-altitude climbs, off-road sections, and challenging passes.
Day 10: Hanle – Stok (Altitude: 3,500m) | Riding Distance: 250 km
From Hanle, ride back toward Stok. Today combines adventure and reflection as we retrace parts of our journey, passing desert plains, mountain passes, and timeless Ladakhi scenery. Every kilometre is filled with stories waiting to be told.
Road Conditions:
Varied terrain including smooth highways, gravel tracks, and scenic mountain passes.
Day 11: Rest Day in Stok (Altitude: 3,500m) | Riding Distance: 0 km
A day to relax, explore local attractions like Stok Monastery or Royal Palace, or visit Leh markets for souvenirs and local crafts. In the evening, enjoy a farewell celebration with fellow adventurers.
Road Conditions:
Minimal riding; explore nearby sites at leisure.
Day 12: Departure from Stok
The adventure may be over, but the memories are only just beginning. After breakfast, we part ways, not as strangers, but as a family forged by adventure, grit, and the ride of a lifetime. Safe travels as you carry the spirit of the Himalayas with you.
