Having recently returned from the Beyond Borders tour of the Western Ghats what was a long held wish to visit India & experience the journey especially on a Royal Enfield. I chose Beyond Borders whose tour operator, Prem guided us both safely & professionally on our journey of discovery in this exotic, full of flavour land,, a marvelous & at times an adrenaline fuelled blast while being immersed in all cultural aspects of this diverse & engaging country. I would thoroughly reccomend you book your tour with Beyond Borders for a riding & cultural experience of a lifetime.Posted on Ian BrayTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have just returned from a Western Ghats tour of Southern India with Prem, and the lads from Beyond Borders Moto Tours. Having ridden India before this tour ticked lots of different boxes for me. I wanted to experience the food of Kerala region and we had great variety and flavours. Eaten in restaurants with the locals, off banana leaves, the food was delicious. None of us get sick from the cuisine. The roads were fun and varied, from madcap town traffic to winding mountain roads through tea and coffee plantations. Beautiful mountain vistas with cool air to jungles with monkeys and elehant. Then down to the Indian Ocean at South Goa for quiet beaches and great food. Temples, both Buddhist and Hindu and the magnificent Maharaja palace in Mysore, were places of great beauty and culture. This trip covered it all. Did I mention that in most places we were the only Australian tourists. We saw India as the locals did. Thanks guys for a top trip, recommend 😀Posted on Chetan ShahTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Beyond Borders gave me one of my most enjoyable touring experiences. It was made possible by the organisation and scheduling of the tour, route selection, unique dining experiences to reflect the varied local flavours, rooms with a view to the seas and the mountains and to top it all, a great camaraderie with the team and the fellow riders. Indian roads can be full of surprises and adventure, yet I felt safe with Prem leading and Becky in the sweep, and Mathew and Akul in the support vehicle. Recommend highly.Posted on Mike WhoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After discussing a Himalayan tour with a friend of mine last year I decided to do one in August 2025 . I discussed it with Prem from Beyond Borders Motor Tour group are who sorted out all the details . Prem and his team are professional, friendly and I was well supported and looked after during the trip. The price was reasonable and the accommodation very good and even on the ride during the day we had good meals and coffee stops where possible – even small glitches were resolved easily without any problems – well done Prem - a big achievement if you consider all the possible variables . And a shout out to the rest of his team of support riders and the backup transport who were always ready to help whatever the circumstances – great team ! A great road trip for the more adventurous rider A real eye opener is the beauty of Ladakh and the friendliness of the people – this truly an amazing experience and something I will always remember and you will too MichaelPosted on charlie salesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My partner and I joined the Beyond Borders Moto Tours - Umling La Odyssey 12 day tour (10 days on bike) in August of this year (2025). I went as a pillion passenger. My longest trip as a pillion prior to this trip was a 3-day road trip. From the time we registered to join the group, we received regular contact from the Tour Group Operator. A WhatsApp group was set up for all people attending – so we could introduce ourselves and were not quite strangers when we all met in Leh. We received regular emails with relevant information to make our trip as smooth and as hassle free as possible; and reminders to attend tasks by required deadlines, e.g., applying for Indian Tourist Visa. Prem’s attention to pre-tour details was thorough. My partner and I decided to arrive in Leh several days prior to the start of the tour to acclimatise to the altitude, it also gave us extra time to explore Leh. If your time allows, I would highly recommend doing this. All tour participants arrived a day or two before the tour started. Prem, Tour Operator/Owner had us all booked into a lovely hotel within walking distance to the local market area. All the accommodation that was booked for us on the tour was above standard for the localities where we stayed. The meals provided were delicious local dishes with some more western styled dishes also being supplied to cater for those with dietary requirements. Speaking from a pillion passenger perspective the bike was comfortable to ride on. A small back rest/sissy bar was attached to those bikes that were carrying pillions. For me this provided extra comfort and back support (I wore a small backpack throughout the trip to carry the various bits and pieces we wanted on hand, e.g., tissues, hand sanitiser, sun hats, sun screen, wet weather gear, etc.). In saying that, the Tour support vehicles were never too far away, so access to luggage was available if required. I found the daily legs/kms very doable, length/time wise. There were enough stops to stretch our legs. Some of the dirt roads were a bit rough but they were certainly manageable from a pillion’s perspective, even the water crossings were doable – I do need to say my partner is a very experienced off-road rider. All in all, the tour was very well organised, attention to details was very evident (due to the nature of the tour and where we were, back-up plans had been prearranged – just in case; and were implemented on at least one occasion) – which ensured the whole tour ran smoothly, keeping the tour to the itinerary’s time lines. I would certainly and highly recommend Prem’s Beyond Borders Moto Tours to anyone who is wanting to experience the Himalayas on motorbike. This was our first time in India and having someone who is conversant in both Australian and Indian was (for me) very reassuring. It was an amazing trip, with amazing scenery – a certainly must do, at least a once in a life-time experience.Posted on Maria FeltonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I have just completed a bucket list motorcycle ride in the Himalayas with Beyond Borders Moto Tours. We were late inclusions on the Umling La tour and Prem from Beyond Borders went above and beyond in helping us prepare for the trip. Nothing was a problem for him and he followed up to make sure nothing was missed. He even arranged accommodation for us either side of the tour, which was unexpected. The ride itself was extremely well organised and Prem always had a plan B in case of road closures, road works etc so the tour was not impacted at all. The accommodation and food was excellent for the whole trip and of course the riding was extremely exciting. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 adv. Bikes were amazing and an ideal choice for the type of riding and terrain we encountered. I am six weeks off turning 72yo and would say to anyone if this is something you would like to share with like minded people and enjoy a well organised tour with exciting riding and wonderful scenery then check out Beyond Borders Moto Tours website and speak to Prem. The rest is easy.Posted on Sangeeth PrakasamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Full house and a great evening with Prem from Beyond Borders at the Dorrigo ADV festival, some fantastic packages available for Himalayas and Sri Lanka.Posted on Bruce GreenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everything was superbly organised and happened as it should. Prem went the extra mile at all times, his sevice ethic ranging from pre-trip personal contact to organizing taxis to attend a non Beyond Borders event that became available during the adventure. He continued that level of service throughout the Himalayan trip. Scenery was breathtaking, riding was exciting and the bikes were excellent. Thanks, Beyond Borders!
